Surrogacy Philanthropy and Community Support
Giving Back in a Field Built Around Families
Surrogacy brings together people, families, medical professionals, legal teams, and support systems around one deeply personal goal. For GSS, philanthropy reflects that same sense of connection.
The agency’s giving has supported organizations focused on reproductive health education, children facing serious illness, future healthcare professionals, and intended parents from communities that often need more direct support while navigating family-building options.
GSS keeps its philanthropic focus close to the work it does every day: helping people understand their options, supporting families through complex decisions, and recognizing the people who serve and care for others.
Path2Parenthood
GSS has supported Path2Parenthood, an organization focused on reproductive health education and family-building support for people of different orientations, backgrounds, and family structures.
Path2Parenthood helps intended parents explore options such as fertility treatment, surrogacy, and adoption through education, outreach, and counseling. Its work connects closely to the questions many intended parents bring to GSS when they are trying to understand what family-building path fits their life, medical history, and goals.
St Jude’s Research Hospital
We are proud to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its work helping children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases receive care.
St. Jude’s mission centers on treatment, research, and support for children and families during some of the most difficult moments they will ever face. Supporting that work reflects a value at the heart of GSS: families need care, stability, and trusted support long after the first conversation about building a family begins.
University of Southern California (USC) Pharmacy Students
GSS has provided scholarships for students attending the USC School of Pharmacy, helping support future healthcare professionals as they continue their education.
This connection is personal to the agency. Founder Shana Melamed’s pharmacy background helped shape her understanding of patient care, medical coordination, and the responsibility that comes with working in a health-related field. Supporting USC pharmacy students reflects that respect for education, care, and the professionals who serve families in many different ways.
Discount Programs for Service Members, First Responders, and LGBTQ+ Intended Parents
We offer discount programs for members of the military, police officers, firefighters, and LGBTQ+ intended parents.
For service members and first responders, this support recognizes people who spend their lives serving and protecting others. Military families, police officers, and firefighters often navigate demanding schedules, relocation, public service responsibilities, and financial planning while also trying to build a family. GSS’s discount program reflects respect for that service and a practical effort to make surrogacy support more accessible.
For LGBTQ+ intended parents, the program reflects GSS’s commitment to supporting different paths to parenthood. Surrogacy for LGBTQ+ parents often involves added layers of planning, including donor selection, embryo creation, surrogate matching, legal coordination, privacy considerations, and questions about how the process works for each family structure.
Intended parents can contact GSS to ask about current discount availability, eligibility, and how the program applies within the larger surrogacy process.
Philanthropy With a Practical Purpose
Surrogacy philanthropy should be specific. It should name the organizations, programs, and people connected to the work.
GSS’s charitable involvement reflects several parts of the agency’s world: intended parents trying to understand reproductive options, children and families facing medical challenges, students preparing for healthcare careers, service members and first responders, and LGBTQ+ intended parents pursuing parenthood through surrogacy.
That focus keeps the agency’s community support connected to real needs rather than broad statements about giving back.
